The closed seams, side seams and shaft edges are efficiently ultrasonically compressed and the material is gently handled. The great advantage is that the temperature increases faster. E.g. when the turned upper edges of the shoe are pressed, the thermoplastic cement is reactivated, resulting in a much better effect. Energy is only supplied during operation.
